Ivory Park man gets five years for culpable homicide

A 24-year-old man from Ivory Park Extension Two has been sentenced to an effective five years for a culpable homicide committed in May 2017.

According to the Ivory Park SAPS communications officer Captain Bernard Matimulane, Moses Befu Sithole, who was initially charged with murder after he hit another man, 31-year-old George Khoza, also of Ivory Park Ext Two, with a stone during a fight, was instead found guilty of culpable homicide in Tembisa Magistrate’s Court on August 1.
