“In the process, a total of 48 suspects were arrested on suspicion of driving motor vehicles while under the influence of alcohol, while three transgressors were issued with fines by the Rabie Ridge SAPS for operating unlicensed liquor outlets, while Kempton Park SAPS and Ivory Park SAPS managed to nab four suspects for the alleged possession of stolen motor vehicles. Three were arrested by Kempton Park SAPS while one was arrested in Ivory Park,” said Matimulane.

Matimulane added while on the issue of dangerous crimes, two suspects are also behind bars for the alleged illegal possession of unlicensed firearms and ammunition and one suspect is in custody in connection with a rape incident.
