Four nabbed on R21 near One-stop with illegal guns

Benoni Flying Squad members arrested four men on the R21 on June 14 for possession of unlicensed firearms.

W/O Grant Giblin, spokesperson for the flying squad, said members on the R21 close to the Engen One-Stop searched a suspicious red Volkswagen GTI with four men at 3pm.

Inside the vehicle they found two 9mm pistols with their numbers filed off, as well as 29 live rounds of ammunition.

All four suspects, aged 30-32, were immediately placed under arrest.
