SAPS seeks community’s help to solve three deaths

Ivory Park SAPS is investigating the death of three people who were found dead in Ivory Park, Clayville and Tswelopele.

Captain Bernard Matimulane said police need urgent assistance from any member of the community regarding the three deaths in which the deceased were found in different parts of Ivory Park last week.

“Between New Year’s Day and Thursday, the police recovered the bodies of two men and a woman.

“The first two victims, a man and woman, were found stabbed at two different crime scenes while the third one, a man in his 30s, was found floating in a river in Tswelopele.

“Two cases of murder have been opened for the woman who was found in Clayville and the man found next to Themba Khoza informal settlement.

“An inquest has been opened for the victim of drowning,” said Captain Matimulane.

He said the lady, who is in her twenties, had her hair dyed blonde, and was wearing a green T-shirt and blue shorts.

The station commander of the Ivory Park SAPS, Brigadier David Mbongeni Ngcobo, is appealing to anyone with information to come forward, or any person whose loved one is missing, to contact the Ivory Park police on 011 990 9600.

“We believe that any piece of information we may gather regarding these unknown victims may assist us in finding out who they are, who were they with and where and, maybe, assist us in establishing how they died,” said Ngcobo.
