“The first baby was delivered at 0.17am, weighing 3.3kg, mother Refilwe Sikhakhane. The second baby was delivered at 2.10am, weighing 2.8kg, mother Emelia Zungwane. The third baby was delivered at 2.20am, weighing 2.3kg, mother Emely Komape.”

Mother Gugu Madlope’s baby boy, weighing in at 3.5kg, was also delivered at 2.20am, followed by Raisibe Ngoepe’s baby boy, weighing 2.7kg, at 3.26am.

The first baby was welcomed with a set of gifts brought in by Ekurhuleni district officials Mlungisi Phakathi, Thembeni Masina and Lindiwe Maduna, who were joined by Wilfred Mothwane, a nursing manager at the hospital.
